At Hallam Early Learning we provide a high-quality educational program, prepared by experienced and dedicated Educators to support and enable all our children to develop to their full potential.

It is universally acknowledged that the first five years of a child’s life is pivotal in terms of their long-term development and, as such, a carefully tailored Educational Program that meets the needs of each individual child can have a substantial impact on their learning outcome.

Our Educators follow the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework to build a program based on children’s interests, cultures, current ideas and abilities.

We instil a love of learning from an early age, to encourage children to use their natural curiosity to learn about the world around them and to build their confidence to explore, create, cooperate and persist with their endeavours.

Our Educators engage current theories and practice, particularly Montessori, in the early childhood education programs and their interactions with the children and strive to continuously improve their pedagogy.

Educators at Hallam Early Learning are inspired by the educational theory developed by Maria Montessori and, as such, the programs reflect the idea of children being capable and confident participants in their own learning, using real tools in the curriculum and classroom and respecting the children to select learning for themselves, as well as to provide uninterrupted periods for concentration.

Our experienced Educators provide learning opportunities that both encourage and challenge the children. Through play and investigation children begin to form understandings about the world around them, as well as developing emergent literacy skills and the exploration of mathematical concepts.

The program enhances the children’s understandings of emotions and social roles, equipping them with the strategies needed to successfully navigate social interactions and independently resolve conflicts.

Providing rich art and sensory experiences in the program for children at this age develops their ability to manipulate tools and objects with increasing confidence.

Our Government Funded Kindergarten program is designed to provide children with the skills needed to have the best possible start to formal schooling.
