How to Enrol
1. Tour our campus and meet the team
We encourage Families to book a Centre tour, meet our Educators and ask as many questions as possible. This allows our Team to showcase our programs and to reassure you that your child will be in a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
2. Request Enrolment
We are committed to and confident of making the exciting ‘early learning journey’ of your child a fulfilling and rewarding experience for your whole family – and we would be thrilled to have you join us.
Our Centre Director will guide you through the enrolment process and support you with the related Government childcare assistance options including: CRN’s, Child Care Subsidy (CCS), enrolment documents and immunisation requirements.
3. Prepare for enrolment
Our Centre Director can provide the enrolment forms to secure your position.
Please have the following documents available to enable a quick and efficient enrolment experience:
- Copy of your child’s birth certificate.
- Photo or scan of the driver’s licence, or other government-issued photographic ID of both parents (unless sole custody applies).
- A current immunisation record from Medicare or the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).
- Any relevant documents relating to sole parenting, medical plans, custodial orders etc.
- Apply for CCS through MyGov. Note: This can take up to a month to be approved.
4. Child Care Subsidy (CCS) Information
Hallam Early Learning is a registered childcare provider which means that eligible families can claim the Government benefit relating to your childcare.
What is the Child Care Subsidy (CCS)?
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is designed to help make early learning and childcare more accessible for many Australian families. The Child Care Subsidy will generally be paid directly to your approved childcare provider/s to reduce the fees you pay.

5. Free Kinder Program
The Victorian Government provides funding to enable children to access a high-quality kindergarten program in the two years before they start school. This helps to ensure that all Victorian children get the best start in life.
From 2023, the Victorian Government is making kindergarten programs free for three and four-year-old children – saving families up to $2,000 per year for each year of a kindergarten program that your child attends in an integrated long day care setting. Free Kinder is a critical component of the Victorian Government’s Best Start, Best Life reform.
The Department of Education and Training makes Free Kinder payments to participating service providers, not directly to families. Our service applies the fee offset as a credit into families’ accounts on a weekly basis.
The Victorian Government’s Free Kinder payments will be deducted from the fees that you pay, up to a value of $2,000 for a 15-hour per week program. If your child is enrolled in a funded kinder program for less than 600 hours per year, the Free Kinder payments will be applied on a pro-rata basis.
Your child can only be funded for a kindergarten program place at one service at any one time and only for one year in a Three-Year-Old Kindergarten program and one year in a Four-Year-Old Kindergarten Program (unless your child is assessed as being eligible for a second year of Four-Year-Old Kindergarten by your child’s kindergarten teacher).
